Phuket is famous for its stunning beaches, each with its own distinct atmosphere, attracting tourists from all over the world who come to unwind, swim, sunbathe, and partake in various water activities. Among the most popular beaches are Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Kamala Beach and Nai Harn Beach.
In December 2022, I had the opportunity to visit Phuket, and it turned out to be an unplanned but delightful experience. It all started when I stumbled upon a Black Friday sale on the internet, offering a whopping 70% discount on hotel stays. Without hesitation, I seized the opportunity and booked a stay.

Island Hopping
1. Khai Island
Our first stop was the stunning Khai Island.We had the opportunity to relax on the soft sands, soaking up the warm tropical sun and enjoying the gentle sea breeze. The beach was idyllic, offering a tranquil setting that invited us to unwind

Our next stop was Bamboo Island, a place of pure beauty. We took the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear waters and snorkel among the vibrant coral reefs. While some opted for kayaking, others chose to stay on the boat, snacking, listening to music, and enjoying the company of fellow travelers. We decided to simply relax, taking in the surroundings and peacefully floating in the water. It was a serene and rejuvenating experience, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of Bamboo Island’s pristine environment.
Our tour guide, Mr. Go brought joy and laughter with his lively and humorous personality. His witty remarks created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the journey. Additionally, the entire team was kind, helpful, and radiated genuine hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment, adding an extra layer of positivity to our memorable experience.
3. Kho Phi Phi Don
Our third stop took us to the captivating island of Phi Phi Don, where we indulged in a delightful buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After our satisfying meal, we took the opportunity to explore the charming stores around Phi Phi Don. The bustling streets were lined with shops offering a diverse array of souvenirs, clothing, and handicrafts. It was a perfect chance to find unique mementos to commemorate our visit and immerse ourselves in the vibrant local culture.
4. Monkey Beach
Our fourth stop brought us to the enchanting Monkey Beach, a haven where we had the opportunity to observe and interact with playful monkeys in their natural habitat. The beach’s name was fitting, as we were greeted by a lively troop of monkeys frolicking along the shoreline.
We took the time to sightsee and capture photos of these adorable creatures, marveling at their curious and mischievous behavior. It was a unique experience to be in such close proximity to these fascinating animals, and we exercised caution while maintaining a respectful distance.
As we arrived at Monkey Beach, we noticed that other people were enjoying the sandy shores. However, we decided not to join them and instead opted to stay at a distance, capturing photos and observing the monkeys in their natural habitat. We admired the scene from afar, taking in the playful antics of the monkeys while appreciating the beach’s picturesque beauty.
5. Viking Cave
Our fifth stop transported us to the intriguing Viking Cave, a site steeped in history and mystique. The cave, adorned with ancient drawings and enigmatic symbols, has captivated the imagination of visitors for centuries. Its name originates from the resemblance of some of the drawings to Viking ships.
6. Pileh Bay
Our six stop was Pileh bay also known as Pileh Lagoon is a stunning natural wonder, towering limestone cliffs, and awe-inspiring beauty.The bay is between sheer cliffs, forming a protected lagoon. some adventurous souls couldn’t resist the temptation to dive into the inviting waters from the boat. Their fearless leaps into the crystal-clear turquoise sea added an extra thrill to the experience.
7. Maya Bay
Maya Bay is a famous bay located on the Island Phi Phi Leh .It is also featured in the movie ” THE BEACH ” staring Leonard Di Caprio. The bay itself is sorrounded by lush greenery adding to its tropical paradise allure. Maya Bay renowned for its stunning beauty with turquoise waters white soft sandy beach and towering limestone cliff. Maya bay is temporary closed for rehabilitaion and restoration . the closure aimed to give the marine life and coral reefs a chance to regenerate.
The amazing one-day island hopping adventure has come to an end, leaving us with memories that will last a lifetime. It was a truly remarkable experience filled with breathtaking natural beauty, exhilarating activities, and the warmth of new friendships.
